South Jakarta Government targets every urban villages in the area to have green alley in 2019.
At least we want all 65 urban villages in our region to have green alley
Currently it is only around 60 percent of total 65 urban villages in South Jakarta that already have green alleys.
South Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Wachyuni said, green alley has been implemented in South Jakarta but only a few urban villages that already have it.

According to her, 30 green alleys are targeted to be built this year. Those green alleys will be built in 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta. Her side plans to build three green alleys in each sub-district.
"The remaining will be completed in 2019. Melawai Urban Village is one of urban villages that don't have green alley yet," she added.
She mentioned, residents are quite interested in green alley program. Because it is not only used for urban farming development, but it is also used as a medium for local residents to interact.
"Residents can have positive activity through farming," she affirmed.
